Pavel Honzik joined Northern’s Operations Department in 2023.

Pavel is a communication specialist with over fifteen years of experience with computers, networking and mobile devices.  He is a computer network and systems professional, who is skilled in hardware and software troubleshooting.  He is the District’s SCADA Technician in charge of the support, implementation and maintenance of the district’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, which monitors and controls the stormwater pumps and operable gates throughout the District.  He works with Northern’s stormwater team to see that stormwater facilities and equipment are regularly maintained, as well as scheduling, coordinating and managing repairs of those assets as needed.

• Analyzes and documents SCADA and other control system needs; designs, develops, and modifies programs; implements new functionality of SCADA Systems. Establishes long-term needs for SCADA systems, and plans strategy for developing systems.
• Implements, maintains, and supports systems related to SCADA applications; designs networks to support SCADA applications. Installs new releases and program fixes for SCADA system applications, software, and hardware; provides database administration and maintenance; maintains security of SCADA and other control systems, databases, and applications.
• Troubleshoots, programs, and repair/replace programmable logic controllers (PLC’s), logic modules, data modules, and PLC network communications equipment. Evaluates SCADA system communications performance and monitors SCADA system data collection reports; acts as SCADA computerized control systems administrator.
